I’m late to the party, but I’ve decided to start a blog. Anais Nin once said, “We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect.” I don’t know how life should taste, but if mine were to be served in a restaurant, I can see someone trying their best to choke it down, too embarrassed to send it back, because they know what they ordered, but ultimately, clearly disappointed they didn’t read the menu better. In retrospect…it probably would’ve been better with a little cheese.
I’m home sick with Covid currently. I’ve watched so much of the world get this virus. My kids have had it, friends have had it, everyone who’s anyone has had it. I finally made it! It’s not the worst thing that’s ever happened, but the first couple of days are quite lousy. It’s now evolved into just being groggy and isolated. Boredom is a nightmare. But it can prove beneficial at times. It provides an opportunity to catch up on old Tom Hanks movies, practice piano, think about stupid crap I wish I could unsay, and finally start a blog.
So if you’re reading this…I just hope I don’t still have Covid.
